Recently I was able to sit down with a couple of my clients who have lost 30 pounds. People are always asking me, “What’s their secret”? So I thought it would be nice to ask them a few questions so you can see that they are truly doing this by changing their lifestyle and forming new habits.

Kim

The first person I spoke with was Kim. She is 31 years old, she works and has a family. Kim started working with me this past October. Here are the questions I asked her:

What specific instance made you want to start getting healthier?

Last summer I needed to buy new swimsuits… you know, the ones that cover everything and I didn’t feel comfortable. Decided next summer I will bring MY sexy back 😉 !!

What is your favorite new food that you enjoy since changing your lifestyle?

MIRACLE NOODLES and I have found a true love for squash.

How often do you workout?

Personal Training with LSPT 3x a week but I do lead a relatively active lifestyle as well.

What is the hardest part of living a healthy lifestyle?

Having kids! Luckily they will eat anything I make (almost). But the parties, holidays & birthdays…they are rough! Come on, who doesn’t like a good cookie. (Although I have found some keto ones that aren’t bad!)

What is your next health and fitness goal?

My first goal was 30 pounds & I celebrated by getting nails done. My next goal will be another 30 lbs, but I am unsure what my reward will be other than the pure joy and relief that I only have 10 pounds to go until my final goal!!

Katie

The second client I interviewed who also recently hit the 30 lb weight loss mark is Katie. She is 40 years old and is finishing her masters in education.  She also is a working mom with a busy family life.  Here’s what Katie had to say.

What is the biggest change you have made in your new health journey?

Less snacking at night and in between meals. If I am snacking, I try to eat something healthy. I try to stop eating by 6:30 p.m (most evenings).

What’s your favorite cheat meal?

Currently, it’s pizza from Black and Gold, or anything sweet.

What’s your favorite type of workout?

I like a fast-paced workout where I follow along with the instructor. All classes from LSPT are challenging and fun.

What motivates you to keep going?

My knees and joints feel so much better and this is a big “win” for me. I also want to be healthy for my husband and kiddos.

What’s your next health and fitness goal?

I’d like to lose 20 more pounds, but more importantly, I’d like to continue working out and making good food choices. Emotional eating is a struggle for me and I’d love to get more control over that!!
