How to Eat When You Are On The Go

If your life is like mine, you are always on the go. I have 3 active children who are involved in numerous activities. I enjoy watching them participate in everything they do but it does make it hard to eat healthy at some of their events. You will always see me with a cooler full of snacks to get me through whatever event we are at that day. I thought I would share some of my favorite items to pack with me so that maybe you can do the same thing to keep yourself healthy while you are on the go.

First of all, make sure you have reusable containers you can take with you during these activities. I also like to have some nice flat ice packs to keep my food chilled. Here are my go-to snacks and meal ideas:

    1. Veggies and hummus
    2. Nuts and seeds
    3. Berries
    4. Deli Turkey – nitrate-free in a low carb wrap
    5. Sliced cheese

 

  1. Small spinach salad with grilled chicken. Dressing on the bottom of the bowl
  2. Whole grain rice cake with natural almond butter
  3. Mini Kind Bars

These items are super easy to pack with you and will help you to avoid the processed junk you could end up eating. Have a plan and be prepared and your life will be so much better!
