I Love Teachers!

They have a special place in my heart. Their dedication to our children’s education and welfare is incredibly amazing.  They work all kinds of hours during the week and do it with a smile on their face and the patience of an angel! Here are a few meal ideas for you teachers who need to take care of yourself as well!

Teacher Breakfast Ideas

  1. Eggs – any way you like them with a piece of whole-wheat toast
  2. Turkey sausage or Turkey bacon on whole-grain English Muffin
  3. Oatmeal – not the pre-packaged stuff with cinnamon, berries, and walnuts
  4. Plain Greek yogurt with fruit and nuts
  5. Jimmy Dean Egg White Delight Sandwich
  6. Protein Shake

Teacher Snack Ideas

Try to eat mid-morning and in the afternoon

  1. Veggies and hummus
  2. Fruit
  3. Nuts/Cheese
  4. Turkey sticks or Turkey pepperoni
  5. Rice cake with natural peanut butter and berries
  6. Can of Low-Sodium V8

Teacher Lunch Ideas

  1. Salad with protein
  2. Stir fry – with protein and make sure it’s low sodium
  3. Low carb wrap with deli meat or grilled chicken and spinach and side of baked Ritz crackers
  4. Plain rice cake topped with avocado,  grilled chicken and salsa
  5. Flat Out Pizza – made yourself from flat out wraps
  6. Veggies and dip, Turkey sticks, apple, and natural peanut or almond butter
