I Love Teachers!
They have a special place in my heart. Their dedication to our children’s education and welfare is incredibly amazing. They work all kinds of hours during the week and do it with a smile on their face and the patience of an angel! Here are a few meal ideas for you teachers who need to take care of yourself as well!
Teacher Breakfast Ideas
- Eggs – any way you like them with a piece of whole-wheat toast
- Turkey sausage or Turkey bacon on whole-grain English Muffin
- Oatmeal – not the pre-packaged stuff with cinnamon, berries, and walnuts
- Plain Greek yogurt with fruit and nuts
- Jimmy Dean Egg White Delight Sandwich
- Protein Shake
Teacher Snack Ideas
Try to eat mid-morning and in the afternoon
- Veggies and hummus
- Fruit
- Nuts/Cheese
- Turkey sticks or Turkey pepperoni
- Rice cake with natural peanut butter and berries
- Can of Low-Sodium V8
Teacher Lunch Ideas
- Salad with protein
- Stir fry – with protein and make sure it’s low sodium
- Low carb wrap with deli meat or grilled chicken and spinach and side of baked Ritz crackers
- Plain rice cake topped with avocado, grilled chicken and salsa
- Flat Out Pizza – made yourself from flat out wraps
- Veggies and dip, Turkey sticks, apple, and natural peanut or almond butter
