It’s that time of year again, the children are getting ready to go back to school and we have to get back to a routine. In my house, I am very ready for this! Being in a routine is a lot better for our family. As joyful as summer is, it is always perfect timing when school comes around and we get back to more of a normal schedule.
With going back to school comes preparing my kid’s lunches. The boys prepare their own daily. Here are some of the items they like to pack that are quick, easy and healthy!
- Beef or Turkey Sticks
- Fruit
- Veggies and ranch/hummus
- Peanut butter and jelly on whole grain white bread
- Deli Turkey or deli ham. Usually, they do not like it on any bread
- Cheese slices. Mine like PepperJack cheese
- Single serving bag of chips. I like to buy the pre-packaged kind as they are already measured out & the kids don’t overdo the amount they pack when they do it themselves
- Peanut butter filled pretzels
- Water
- 100% juice box
- Grilled chicken wrap with hot sauce
- Rotisserie chicken
- Leftover grilled meat from the night before
